Strong Little Sleepers can help your baby or toddler sleep better by learning healthy child sleep habits. Here are some of our child sleep training success stories
We are on our third consecutive week of happy times at our house. B is going down at 7 and has been sleeping through the night almost without fail. A couple of minor interruptions along the way, but by and large we are in fantastic shape. He makes ‘nary a peep when we put him in his crib now, and recently has taken to actually REACHING OUT for his crib as we’re doing some soothing bouncing/snuggling/singing in the lead-up time to putting him down. He doesn’t fall asleep immediately most nights, but he talks quietly to himself for a few minutes then goes silent. Very cute…Thank you again for the advice and pep talks. This has been a total game-changer. No more blaming the baby for sleep deprivation!

When I first began to talk to Lori regarding sleep training my 8 month old boy, I went into it thinking that I had nothing to lose by trying. I also felt like the possibility of us making it through it was slim. My sister believes in co-sleeping, my husband did not want to hear any crying at all, and my parents actually built him a baby hammock swing so that he could continue to be soothed in that way all night as needed. Meanwhile, I was noticing that my baby boy was not sleeping for more than 15 minutes without needing either to nurse or be rocked. During the day, his eyes were red and the poor thing was so sleep deprived, at times nothing helped to soothe him. I was also completely tied up with him. I couldn’t spend any time in the evenings with my 8 year old daughter. I knew something needed to be done.
I followed Lori’s individualized and well thought-out plan. She was also very patient to answer many of my questions along the way, and some of them I know were redundant. Lori has a great way of offering support and advice without passing any judgment.
Even I couldn’t believe the results! My son had a rough first night and I almost gave up the plan. It only took a day for me to realize that my baby was really struggling all along anyway. Lori’s reassurance helped me gain the confidence I needed in the plan to carry it out. After that we made leaps and bounds. The baby began to go to sleep on his own in the crib and sleep through the night within a week. I now have time in the evenings with my daughter and the baby gets the rest that he needs on a daily basis.
Thank you Lori for your coaching and patience!

We contacted Lori in a zombie-like state after 7 months of no sleep with our twin boys. Lori listened to every detail of our situation, and gave us a straightforward, easy to implement plan that worked with our existing routine and lifestyle. A skeptic from the start, I am still amazed at how well her plan worked. Within just a few nights they were already sleeping significantly better, and within a week or so they were sleeping for 12 hours! Now they are sleeping soundly for 12 hours with no fuss at bedtime. I feel like a whole new person!

My husband and I are right in the middle of the two extremes of “cry it out” and attached parenting. We were struggling with our daughter’s sleep schedule; by 10 months her frequency of waking up, nursing and being soothed raised to about every 2 hours a night. It was exhausting. Aside from our baby, the stress was taking a toll on us and our sanity! It was then that we contacted Lori.
Lori was very patient with us. She listened patiently and was very respecting of how comfortable we were with the new rules, what pace of change is acceptable to us, things we want to do/ not do. Based on all our preferences she made some suggestions and a nice clock schedule for Adya ( our 10 month old).We were nervous the first day…but the magic started and by the second night….our baby was sleeping 12 hours straight (7:00am- 7:00pm)…with zero wake ups! Apart from this, putting her to bed is no longer a struggle. Even her daytime naps improved and very exact on time. We still can’t believe this is actually happening! She did cry a little on her first night but it was much less than what she anyway did while waking up frequently. Now that we see her sleep 15 hours a day, we realize that our baby was earlier missing out on that much needed sleep.
Adya is a happy baby now and so are her parents. Lori not only restored Adya’s sleep but definitely our husband-wife relationship as well.

When we started to work with Lori our daughter was four months old and we were in a terrible sleep situation. She was waking every 5-15 minutes on most nights so we were like walking zombies. We have a toddler too and taking care of two young kids without decent sleep was the hardest thing we had done. Within two weeks things had turned around and we could actually sleep for significant chunks of time. Lori gave us the personalized plan and (very importantly) the emotional support that we needed to get through the process. Sleep is so important and so emotional when your tiny baby is struggling. We followed her plan, reached out to her when we had questions and she was amazing. Our daughter is such a happy baby now that she sleeps and that makes life so much better for all of us! I regularly recommend Lori to other parents having sleep issues, whether it is a situation similar to ours or a toddler who is having problems sleeping.

Anytime we take Ezra anywhere, the first thing people say is how well behaved and quiet he is. I credit that to how well he sleeps at night and the Happiest Baby on the Block techniques. Once we learned those calming techniques and sleepy cues, Ezra started trusting us more. I have a great friend about to give birth, and I gave her a Happiest Baby on the Block kit because that has been by far the most helpful thing we’ve done as parents. At five months, he’s sleeping 12 hours a night because we’ve been so strict with his bedtime routine since he was two months old. He puts himself to sleep in his crib every night without a peep. I’m so glad we met you, Lori, because I had no idea that simple things like a bedtime routine would help our five month old sleep the entire night.

So thankful for you! Our sleep schedule is working!! I look at my little guy and think there is no way he is going to bed. I still do exactly what you said and within 3 minutes he is closing his eyes! Nap and bedtime are a breeze! Thank you thank you thank you!!

Lori is amazing!! I can’t say enough. There is so much info out there, so many books, so many posts on sleep and sleep training that it is hard to discern what is best. Lori worked with what I had already established (but gave me tips to make my existing routine SO much better) with my 7 mo old and within days he was sleeping through the night and taking 2 naps and the biggest thing was….the crying was decreased dramatically!!!!! I’m so grateful for Lori’s wisdom. Best $ I’ve ever spent!

This whole process has been amazing, and I truly cannot thank you enough! We all needed better sleep, but it was important to us to find a way that was gradual for Eli, that was not just leaving him there to cry. Thank you, thank you! It has really been so good for all of us. It’s been so sweet to see Caden share the excitement and cheer his brother on, Eli has accomplished something and is really proud of himself, and Jeff and I got through it without placing blame or frustration on each other and are both getting more sleep and quality time together. This truly has made such a difference for all of us. Thank you so much, Lori!

I contacted Lori with Strong Little Sleepers after my 5 month old began waking multiple times after transitioning from swaddling. After a month of my husband and I thinking we might never sleep again we decided to call a professional. We immediately felt like Lori truly listened to our situation and came up with a plan that best suited our whole family. She gave me the support and encouragement I needed to implement a firm schedule and get me through the first couple of weeks, as my son learned how to self soothe. I honestly didn’t know if he could learn to soothe himself with as upset as he was getting when he woke alone. It was invaluable having her coaching me from the sideline so that I stuck with it. She gave me the confidence to stay the course even when I felt uncertain. We now have a solid napper and night sleeper thanks to sticking with the plan she gave us. I highly recommend working with Lori! I thought I knew all the basics of how to sleep train since this was my second child. She provided several little changes that made all the difference.

Eighteen months ago, I entered the wonderful and often times confusing and scary world of motherhood. These past eighteen months have been turbulent to say the least, with medical and sleep issues greatly effecting our son’s day to day life. During this time we have met some of the most amazing caregivers who have helped our family navigate the sometimes bumpy road. At of the top of this list of amazing caregivers would be Lori Strong. We began working with Lori a few months ago after my son’s Occupational Therapist recommended we seek in-home assistance for his sleep issues. Within a few days of contacting Lori, she was in our home meeting our family. I quickly knew I could trust her with this sensitive process. Lori is a kind and knowledgeable sleep expert who created a sleep plan tailored towards the needs and goals of our family. Lori has been incredibly supportive and has made herself available to us every step of the way and well beyond. Her guidance gave me the confidence I needed to take charge of my son’s sleep issues. I began to realize that many of my choices had been made out of fear and misunderstanding. Lori is an excellent resource and a wonderful advocate. I highly recommend her and would be happy to provide more information about our experience upon request.

When we brought our second child home from the hospital, our older son (age 3) began to have terrible issues sleeping in his bed and sleeping through the night. After two months of bad sleep (and not because of the newborn!) I googled “sleep consultant – toddler” in desperation and Lori’s site came up. Boy am I glad I did! She listened to our issues and the approaches we had tried and gave us very practical advice right then that we began implementing. She further provided a 6 page written plan which laid out a new approach to bedtime for us. We started implementing it immediately and it worked! The wrap around support she provides over phone and email is invaluable as well. We feel it was worth every penny to call Lori!

Just a quick update to let you know how PJ is doing…AMAZING! We cannot thank you enough, our years of sleep issues and drama at bedtime are finally in the past. PJ still needs a bit of reassurance at night and we are always around to do our “checks” but it is like night and day! We are all so happy, especially PJ, she is confident and rested and finally feels like a big girl who is no longer afraid at night. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
